In honor of National Women's History Month, and to give recognition to the many and varied gifts of the Women of Siouxland, the Women of Excellence Awards are being offered. The recipients are women who have demonstrated strength of character and personal growth, made significant contributions in the past and have convincing plans for the future.

TAKE ME BACK TO THE 80's!!! Our annual event is celebrating "41 years of Women Doing Good In Siouxland", and we've decided that celebrating "41" in our best 80s attire is the way to go! Join us for an inspiring evening which highlights the talent, time, and dedication of the Women of Siouxland; through the contributions of this year's nominees and award recipients. Nominations will open 2/15/2026, instructions for completing your nomination are listed below. Nominate that special woman in your life, and start searching your closet for you best 80's regalia, and pick up a can of Aqua Net, so you can set your mall bangs on the 27th! You wont want to miss out on this inspiring event.

If you wish to recognize an outstanding individual who has contributed greatly to the quality of life for women and families in the community, please consider nominating the individual one of the following awards:
In 2025 we had over 21 individuals nominated for Women Of Excellence!!! From those 21 nominees, someone was then selected to represent each of the six categories as the award recipient based on their talents and contributions to the community. Categories include: Women Striving To Improve The Quality Of Life, Women Taking Risks, Women Helping Women, Women Developing Community, Young Women Of Excellence, and Women Of Promise. These categories do not include special awards such as the Marilyn Murphy Lifetime Achievement, Men of Excellence, the Flora M. Lee Keeper Of The Dream, or the Barb Wingert Social Justice Hero awards, as these are not always given out, but are instead the result of a review process by the committee .
The 2026 Women of Excellence Nominations Process:
Nominations for Women of Excellence 2026 will open on 2/15/2026 and close at 11:59pm on International Women's Day (3/8/2026).
