In honor of National Women's History Month, and to give recognition to the many and varied gifts of the Women of Siouxland, the Women of Excellence Awards are being offered. The recipients are women who have demonstrated strength of character and personal growth, made significant contributions in the past and have convincing plans for the future.

TAKE ME BACK TO THE 80's!!! Our annual event is celebrating "41 years of Women Doing Good In Siouxland", and we've decided that celebrating "41" in our best 80s attire is the way to go! Join us for an inspiring evening which highlights the talent, time, and dedication of the Women of Siouxland; through the contributions of this year's nominees and award recipients. Nominations Closed 3/8/2026, and our judges are in the process of reviewing the many wonderful nominees. Tickets, Ads, and Sponsorships can still be purchased for the event through 3/23/2026. This is a themed event, so start searching your closet for your best 80's regalia, and pick up a can of Aqua Net, so you can set your mall bangs on the 27th! You won't want to miss out on this inspiring event.

If you wish to recognize an outstanding individual who has contributed greatly to the quality of life for women and families in the community, please consider nominating the individual one of the following awards:
In 2025 we had over 21 individuals nominated for Women Of Excellence!!! From those 21 nominees, someone was then selected to represent each of the six categories as the award recipient based on their talents and contributions to the community. Categories include: Women Striving To Improve The Quality Of Life, Women Taking Risks, Women Helping Women, Women Developing Community, Young Women Of Excellence, and Women Of Promise. These categories do not include special awards such as the Marilyn Murphy Lifetime Achievement, Men of Excellence, the Flora M. Lee Keeper Of The Dream, or the Barb Wingert Social Justice Hero awards, as these are not always given out, but are instead the result of a review process by the committee .
The 2026 Women of Excellence Banquet Ticket Process:
In true 80's style, this year we're having a Buffet for the Women of Excellence Banquet; the entertainment is going to be amazing, the food will be fabulous, and our nominees are incredible individuals!!! You're going to want to be there, in all of your 80's glory, tell your friends, raid the closet, it's going to be a good night, but you'll need a ticket to get in the door! You can purchase tickets through our eventbrite link located below. OR you can call or email our office to coordinate with Carter on securing tickets or a table and pay us in true 80's style with a check made out to Women Aware, please no cash.

WE GET IT, the 80's were your cup of tea, you're VIP, and you plan to enjoy the light of our Neon Lights! This VIP table experience gives you seating for 8 attendees, and two complimentary bottles of wine to enjoy as part of the evening with conveniently selected seating to place you right in the heat of the action as a VIP should be.
MOMMA DON'T PLAY, SHE CAME TO SLAY TABLE CONTEST $650
YOU SURVIVED the mall bangs, the Aqua Net off-gassing, the shoulder pads, the permanents, and the neon colors the 1st time through; but you just can't resist the temptation to take a trip down memory lane with your friends. This table is for you! This table of 8 is entered into our 80's themed decorating contest, show the room just how creative you are and how good the 80's were, with the chance to decorate your table in advance so that it can be on display for the event for all to see. IF you're lucky, and your table wins, you'll not only take home the memories, but the bragging rights to say that you've done the 80's justice, and have the receipts to prove it.
80's Dream Team Table of 8 $600
So decorating is not your thing, BUT you can look Glam and want to celebrate the night away as a group of 8! This table is for you, with seating for 8, you'll be treated to a wonderful buffet, entertainment, and live auction, silent auction, and have access to a cash bar. You are encouraged to dress in your 80's glory! Shoulder pads, mall bangs, Aqua Net, neon colors, made it bold, we're here to cheer you on!
Nominee Table of *8 $600
SO, you've nominated your person, called the family, and talked to the girls, you need a table!!! This table covers the fee for you nominating your person and includes space for 7 others to attend **in addition to having your nominee seated with you at the table for the event!** This table purchase covers the cost of your nomination fee, so if you haven’t paid for your nomination fee yet, this is for you. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to the office for clarification.
General Admission $80
Wanna attend stag, don’t worry, this ticket gets you in the door, gets you your meal, and we take care of the rest! We’ll make sure you get seated with a fun filled table to enjoy the evening’s events!
